We are excited to announce the final contributing artist to the second Create Art 4 Hope collection is Frances Ackland-Snow. Frances has donated her work entitled 'Guiding Light'.
Frances work is inspired by the elements, through memories of landscapes and places that have touched her. Frances works with
anything from traditional oils to spray paint to nail varnish. She also frequently embellishes her work with copper filings or gold or bronze leaf.
Frances completed a Fine Art Foundation Course at Oxford before specialising in painting at Brighton University where she achieved a first class degree in Fine Art Painting. Starting work with the BBC as a scenic painter, where her technical skill and flexibility of approach was honed. She went on to develop her career as a fine artist and has since enjoyed great commercial and critical success. Her work is widely exhibited across the UK and Europe and her paintings are in private collections around the world.
Funds raised through this second Create art 4 Hope collection are being donated to Maggie's Merseyside. Maggie's Merseyside offers cancer support in the form of one-to-one help and information from their professional team and the ability to join groups and activities that are right for the individual. They offer a calming space to go for a cup of tea, meet people who understand what the individual is going through or just the chance for them to take a moment to gather their thoughts. Situated alongside the Clatterbridge Hospital, Maggie's are the white building next door to The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre.
